Ok, so I'm finally going to try to rebuild my gallery this weekend.  I've gathered the proper permissions from all the artists I've previously commissioned.  Anyway, it's a lot of work so I'm not looking forward to it.  If you're interested in seeing DA's response to my question of why my gallery was ripped down, please see below.  And for all of you out there who are out of compliance... BEWARE!

"Your work was not considered a valid screenshot.  A valid desktop screenshot features all the icons, the task bar, and often one or more open programs or an open start menu.  "Screenshots" which have been cleared of obstructions are considered an attempt to circumvent our copyright policy.

In order to upload images from other artists, proof of permission must be provided. In order to prove this permission, either the original artist should comment on the submission after it is uploaded, or the email where permission for redistribution was allowed should be screenshotted and uploaded through the Release Form outline in FAQ #252.  Without this permission, third party material cannot be uploaded to deviantART."
